SmartMusic is award-winning interactive music software that provides the ideal practice environment. With a subscription to SmartMusic, students have unlimited access to the world’s largest accompaniment library for all ages and skill levels, which includes thousands of pieces of music.
The following review written by one of the Software Informer contributors applies to version 12.0
SmartMusic is a program that teaches singing and playing instruments. It allows the student to practice with professionally made accompaniments. SmartMusic will give you access to many exercises, music sheets, and an extensive library of accompaniments, which include jazz improvisation, and bass and orchestra. It also offers you a wide range of guide books. In order for the program to be able to “listen to you”, you will need to use a microphone (if you wish, you can use your own MP3 files). You can also plug different devices into the computer, like keyboards and pedals.
The program offers you to complete assignments. You can even indicate which course you are taking, the professor who is teaching you, and SmartMusic will give you the right assignments for your course. You will then be able to access your Gradebook.
In brief, SmartMusic is a complete tool for students to learn music and practice with professional accompaniment. It is also a great tool for teachers to keep an eye on their students’ progress. In order to use the program, you must get an account. This will enable you to test the program capabilities, but you will need to obtain a subscription in order to use all the features available in the program. |
